Murano & Burano

As a family we love to explore lots of places when we go on holiday and not just stay in one place, so for another day we visited Murano and Burno which are little islands close to Venice. Murano is known for its glass blowing and the whole island is covered in shops selling glass models. When we first arrived of the water taxi we must have taken a wrong turn and ended up walking around a little area that wasn’t too picturesque which made us a little unsure of the place. We then found a lovely street on a canal which led us to lovely places. We saw a two beautiful elaborate churches to look around which contrasted with the simple houses along the canal. We found an amazing pizza restaurant for lunch which had a little garden away from all the other tourists and played really cool music.

We then decided to go to Burano which is about half hour water taxi from Murano. Burano is a beautiful and colourful island, which I quickly became obsessed with. We weren’t able to be there for long but I managed to take a lot (and I mean a lot!) of photographs.
