Harry Potter Studio Tour

Last Friday my brother and me went to Harry Potter Studio Tour, for me it was my third time as I have an unconditional love for Harry Potter. J.K.Rowling in my opinion and many others is an incredible writer and they way the have translated her stories to films is amazing. The detail in the props, sets and everything on screen is fantastic and at the tour it’s all there to see, I would recommend to anyone who has the chance. Here’s the set and props from the Gryffindor common room, they have all the props from the suitcases to the jumpers from the first film. Then we went to the potions room, which has all the different jars full of magical ingredients and the half blood prince’s potions book.

The most exciting part for me was the new addition to the tour, platform 9 3/4 and the Hogwarts Express. You can go on the train and they’ve decorated each carriage to represent each different film with different props, which is really interesting. You can also sit in a carriage and have a photo for free which is great as most of the things you can buy there are very expensive.

In the outside section they have the larger props and sets like the Knight Bus, the flying car, 4 Privet Drive and Harry’s house from Godric’s Hollow. This time you could also walk across the bridge. At the end they have the incredible model of Hogwarts, which is so detailed, they used it for filming some of the long shots. We went around 11 o’clock and it was perfect timing as it wasn’t too busy yet so there wasn’t lots of queues but by the time we left it had got very busy and so Id recommend going in the morning. Overall it was amazing even though I’d seen it 3 times and would still go again.
